•Cheryl and her 3 siblings were staying with their widowed mother in Kawangware before her mother had to go to court. Her mother was working as a bus CONDUCTOR and the bus was involved in a hit and run accident. Since neither she nor the driver reported the accident to authorities and the they were at fault, they were taken to jail.

•The children were left with no one to take care for them; they never found out what happened to their mother. When the landlord went to collect rent, he found the kids alone and he locked them out of the house, leaving them homeless.

•Cheryl and her siblings stayed outside until one of their neighbors realized the children were alone. A church member who lived close to the children learned about this and notified the organization (Heart to Heart).

•The information was shared with the area chief and he gave his permission to Heart To Heart Orphans Children Centre  (HTHOCC) to find a place for the children to stay so that they would be able to attend school at Prince of Peace. Cheryl had been out of school for a long time due to lack of school fees.

•HTHOCC has been following up in their mother’s case with the court system.

•Cheryl and her siblings need urgent support for school fees, boarding fee, books and clothes.
