•Melabon is a fifteen-year-old girl and has one younger sibling. Melabon’s mother had her when she was very young and still in school. Melabon currently lives with her grandmother in a single-room iron sheet house while her mother finishes school.

•Melabon’s grandmother depends on odd jobs to provide for the family and cannot provide some of the basic needs and school fees.

•Melabon just sat for the concluded Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, and she should be joining high school. Unfortunately, she has no support to proceed with her education.
