•Loreen Lumonya is an eleven-year-old girl who lives with her single mother in the slums of Kawangware within Nairobi County. Loreen has three siblings and they all live in a one room sheet metal house in the slums.

•Her mother Caroline, is twenty-five years old who has been separated from her husband for a year because of domestic violence in the home and failure to take care of his family. He would come home drunk, beat her in front of the children and would curse everyone out.

•Caroline is now the sole provider for the family> She does temporary jobs in order to meet the daily needs of her children.

•She is requesting support from HTHOCC for her children to be able to attend school. When Loreen grows up, she wants to be a doctor. Helping her with school fees will help her reach her goal.

•She needs educational support.
